August 2026 - The Hebner lab engaged with members of the Division of Polymer Chemistry and Polymeric Materials Science and Engineering Division for scientific discussions and events at the Fall American Chemical Society meeting in Chicago, IL. Destina Genc presented her research on "Photoinitiator-dependent control of mixed-mode photopolymerization mechanisms for targeted network topology in hydrogel networks".

June 2025 - We welcomed industry and board members of RadTech to campus for a day of engaging discussions with the Hebner, Schultz, Chortos, and Blatchley labs! Our discussions focused on connecting over exciting research related to using UV/EB technology across a broad range of applications in both academic labs and industry. 

May 2025 - Our labs were recognized this semester with the EHS Lab Recognition Award for Spring 2025 for their efforts in keeping our shared lab space running safely and efficiently! This honor is awarded "to 2-3 labs from all across campus that have consistently gone above and beyond in making the technicians’ jobs easier".  This recognition underscores the group’s commitment to research safety and safe lab operations, in addition to the commitment to the safety of the technicians handling the hazardous waste generated in the lab. Congratulations, researchers!

January 2025 - We are excited to welcome Destina Ekingen Genc and Miranda Rubio to the team as our first Ph.D. students!
